What do you do to relax?

I enjoy hanging out with my family, reading the Word, and watching my favorite basketball team, the Los Angeles Lakers.

What are you reading right now?

Simple Church by Thom Rainer and Eric Geinger, the Bible, and 100 Ways to Simplify Your Life by Joyce Meyers

What do you appreciate most about the people of Cedar Grove Church?

I appreciate our genuine compassion and love that is so freely shared. I also admire our hunger and thirst to know God more intimately.

What quotes have you found most meaningful in life?

"Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country." – John F. Kennedy

This quote has been instrumental to me to ask not what the ministry can do for me but what I can do for the ministry. It’s also a challenge that I present to our members which helps each of us to be more selfless in the giving of our time, talent, and treasure to the Kingdom.

Why should an individual who has not been to CGC come visit?

  1. Encounter – To have an authentic encounter with the Spirit of God through our electrifying praise and worship music ministry
  2. Experience – To experience the love of God through His people
  3. Equipping – To be equipped to do the will of God through the preaching and teaching of God’s Word

What music are you currently listening to on your iPod?

My favorite artists include: Fred Hammond, Michael W Smith, Richard Smallwood, Marvin Sapp, Hezekiah Walker, Kirk Franklin, Aretha Franklin, Shekinah Glory, Donnie McClurkin, James Cleveland, Al Green, Sade, Kem, and Sting.

What websites do you visit daily?

Bible Study Tools, Facebook, Twitter and CNN.com

Where do you hope to be spiritually in the next year?

Although I consider myself to be spiritually mature, as a Christ follower continuous growth is a necessity. I want to continue to grow in Him next year and throughout my remaining years on earth.
